In his Double Exposure series, Mário digitally explores the relationship between the double photosensitive exposure of photographic film to light, and the viewer in the conscious materialization of an alternate imagery of reality - and in the creation of its alternate complementary colours.
Mário's Double Exposure series strives to incorporate the superimposition of two different images during the photosensitive exposure process of photographic film to light.
Reflecting on this double superimposition of photographic film, his creative process visually communicates this relationship with multiple trichromatic double superimpositions combinations of the same visual image and complementary colours.
In each Double Exposure painting, the mesh of hatched, and cross-hatched RGB pixel strokes is digitally combined to compose the double superimposition engraved during the photosensitive exposure process of photographic film to light.
With the Double Exposure series, Mário exposes each Receptors, Rainbow, Polarization superposition through his trichromatic pixelated double superimposition lens to consciously compose to the viewer an imaginarily charged singularity of Wave, and Particle , exposing the duality of light through two superimpositions of the same image.
Through his multi-series Double Exposure lens, Mário takes the viewer into a discovery journey of the physical double photosensitive exposure process of photographic film to light, consciously painting the wave-particle duality through double superimposition of Waves, and Particles, ultimately placing the viewer in the center of the imagery narrative on the conscious materialization of an alternate reality and its alternate complementary colours.
