In his Films installation series, Mário digitally explores the relationship between the viewer's retina, and the movement of light in the visual perception of an image - and in the materialization of complementary colours.
Mário's Films installation series strives to incorporate the physical straight line path movement of light - visual light cone - with the construction by the viewer's visual cortex of the inverted image projected towards their retina through the movement of light.
Reflecting on this relationship, his trichromatic installations are uniquely charged with a sensory relationship between the materialization of an image - and the creation complementary colours - with the viewer's existential conscious and subconscious mind.
His Receptors, Rainbow, Polarization, Exposure, Revelation and Dynamics series are minutely recombined to reflect on the paradoxical nature of the materialization of reality.
Through an infinite recursive matrixized fractal, Mário's Films series, brings a trichromatic paradoxical narrative between reality and observation - spiraling outwards counterclockwise from the center - reality - towards the deconstruction of the observation - inverted image of reality - and spiraling inwards back to the construction of reality itself.
In his Films installation series, Mário takes the viewer into a counter-intuitive journey - inbetween infinitesimal matrix rotations and translations - on the discovery of the reality of their consciousness and subconsciousness, and ultimately revealing their intimate relationship with complementary colours.
Mário's Films series invites the viewer to explore the paradoxical nature of reality through his infinite trichromatic matrixized recursive fractal, and discover their intimate existential connection with the fundamental paradoxical nature of the duality between reality and observation.
The Film series uses real polaroid film originally captured by Modern Design Elements. Each Polaroid film is resized to achieve high-definition quality for each size, and is programmatically crafted, aligned and perfected by hand.
