In his Polarization series, Mário digitally explores the relationship between the physical properties of photon polarization, and the viewer in the creation of complementary colours.

Mário's Polarization series strives to incorporate the different types of photon polarization: Horizontal, Vertical, Left and Right polarization.

Reflecting on these properties, he uniquely paints a trichromatic, yet painterly view on the relationship between each type of photon polarization, and the viewer in the creation of complementary colours.

Mário's creative process visually communicates this relationship with multiple representations of the same colours.

His Polarization representations are directly influenced by the different types of physical properties of photon polarization.

In each type of photon polarization representation, Mário's primary colour tones are interlaced in a mesh of hatched, and cross-hatched pixel strokes that are digitally drawn and combined in more than four different ways.

The Polarization series, marks Mário's departure from the overall Red, Green or Blue painting superposition, and yet still continues to place the viewer in the center of the narrative of the composition of colours.

Mário takes the viewer on eight different multi-colour journeys of discovery of complementary colours that continue to be uniquely charged with reflection on the individual connection with colour.

In his Polarization series, he invites the viewer to discover their personal reflection between reality and fantasy in more than four different ways.
